Hi,
I am unable to fix the datum in drawing profile and then annotating it with mxtip file. I have tried several combination in fixing/rounding datum but it didn't work.
Please advise.

Rehan, When you place the final drawings profile the insertion point is just arbitary. There are some rounding options for the insertion point (Set profile origin - Advanced) but these are only really approprioate if you are trying to align the profile on a grid already in the drawing.
The rounding I suspect you require can be controlled from the following.
When you layout pages and sheet the profile, the page details form offers vertical grid rounding options
The rounding value supplied here takes account of the exaggeration and this is the value that is supplied as the increment value when editing the datum on the page layout form.
One thing to remember is that final drawings creates clipped views onto the profile and it's annotation. So if you are using the standard box annotation under the profile ensure you have sufficient offset for the boxes.
This initially looks odd in the design model view when looking at the profile as there appears to be a large gap. However when sheeted up the clipped views created adjust the datum per sheet, which again you can control on the Edit Page Layout form for each profile.
I hope this helps in the first instance.
Regards
Ian

Ian,
Thanks for the advise.
I was under the impression that it is controlled not arbitary. Company I am workinig for is using AutoCAD for producing sheets therefore I provide my designers long profile and then they produce cut-sheets. However still I can use your advise for efficient production.
If you are looking to align the profile from the outset then you can snap the insertion to a grid / use the rounding options for placement. This might be of some assistance if sheets are being manually cut, although the tools MX provides are automated / repeatable and are designed to simplify manual sheeting.
