Please forgive my lack of knowledge of InRoads, but we only have to deal with it here and there. We received a survey that was done with InRoads, and one of the files we received is the Topo file, which is a 3D DGN with the points and line strings displayed. I would like to be able to convert this to a 2D file to use in our plans. When I try to do the simple "Export>2d...", I lose almost all the elements that originally had an elevation (something other than 0). I have also tried to copy the elements into a 2D file from the referenced 3D file, but they again disappear.
If needed, I may be able to just get by using the 3D file, but it doesn't let me fully edit the elements in the 3D file. I can change the symbology, but I can't rotate elements or anything like that.
Is there something that I am missing that could give me functionality that I need?
Thanks for the help.
Ken
Development...
I had a colleague try to do the simple MS Export>2D as well, and he ran into the same thing. He then tried it using MS v8.5 and worked without issue. I am going to research a bit to see if there is something to the older version working and not V8i.
mwlong,
The 3D file does not have any references attached. Everything is located in that one 3D file. It also only has one model.
Can you copy the file and strip most elements out? Just leave a few of the known good elements that export fine and also leave some of the known elements that don't export and post that .dgn file to the thread. I think a few of use would like to take a look at it to see what elements are not working and why.
Microstation CONNECT - 10.17.2.61

Power InRoads v8i - 08.11.09.615

Here is the file. I didn't strip anything out since it isn't a huge file.
Is this what you're looking for? Used the latest MicroStation SS3 (.397) and just a simple export 2d with no options turned on.
