OpenRoads - Cross Section View and point elevation

Hello,

Is it possible to display points' elevation or perform some kind of tracking in Cross-Section View when working with SS3 civil products.

TIA,

Adam

  • Hi Adam,

A tentative snap will reveal the offset and elevation of a specific cross section view point in the status bar. If you right click on the status bar where the snap and locks are located there is an option to turn on "running coordinates". This will provide location information in the active view.

If you want the same information on your cursor then you could do that by using Civil Accudraw. First you would need to go to say the plan view and turn on civil accudraw with XY mode and then go to the cross section view and activate a tool such as place smartline. If accusnap is on then it will show the offset and elevation of any point the cursor hovers over in the cross section view.

    Regards

    Paul
