Hello,
I have a corridor where I need to start another template at the station where previous template ends and I do not need any transition between them. Like you have a road and you rapidly start a sidewlak at particullar station. I get mess in my components when trying to do such a no-transition template drops.
Then I tried to seperate this two template drops a little bit, just like with a distance of a few milimeters. No success again.
These messy components would impact on my Top Mesh and as a result I can not produce proposed terrain model. That stopped my production.
How can I deal with it? Of course there are some workarounds, I can always create separate corridors but that is not the desired soulution.
TIA,
Adam
Hi,
I have similar case with single template drop where I use display rules and parametric constraints to control displaying components. Please see attached screenshots.Regards, Krzysztof
We do this all the time. The template drops should not be placed at the same location (Station) nor should the be placed a very close locations. If you start a template at one station it will continue to use that template all the way up until a new template drop is placed (defined), at witch point you should toggle off the transition option. This will stop the template transitioning process.
We do this all the time for bridges, the roadway template stops and bridge template starts. If the last roadway template is not close enough to the first Bridge Template you can define a KEY Point very close to the Begin Bridge Template but still make sure the transition options is OFF. I am not sure in SS3 where the Transition Off options is but it should be there or at least an equivalent function.

Mike,
I wasn't clear enough in my previous post so I edited it. In SS2 I had the same workflow you described but now it is slightly diferent with SS3. In SS3 template drop has a station range - start and end station and I need to start another template at the same location where previous template drop (as a station range) ends.
In ss3 there is rather an option to toggle on the transitin than toggle it off.
I hope that now you can catch the crux of my problem.
Thanks,
Best,

Mike, what about my case - one template drop ?
Krzysztof
I was advised by Bentley Support to have 1 cm gap between template drops...
But what when I have a single template drop and control display of components with display rules in the way that Krzysztof ilulstrated with his screenshots in this forum thread?
