I am starting a new project, and I will need to cut cross sections from my existing ground. That is not working for me. When I called Support, they told me that Cross Sections from Surfaces does not work in SS3. Is this really so?
Is there another way to generate the existing cross sections (with XS cells) that I need for the rest of my project design?DO I really need to roll back to SS2? Can I run SS2 and SS3 in parallel? Any tips or tricks I need to know to have them both installed and runable (not running at the same time, just the option to run one or the other without having to install/uninstall/reinstall)?
When will this be fixed? It seems like a pretty large oversight...

We had to load Microstation SS3 here at our office for a Descarte install. I had concerns how that would work with Geopak. I was advised by Bentley to go ahead and install ustn SS3, but use Geopak SS2. This enabled us to keep the GPK file and work as before. Everything seems to work well this way.

Isn't there some configuration variable you have to define to use one or the other? Am I going to have to have two startup shortcuts?

I believe it will take two shortcuts - at least, it does for InRoads, so it probably does for GEOPAK.
I am pretty sure that this is due to the integration of dgnlib's and other items into the product that just cannot be handled any other way.
