I am working on creating mass diagrams for a large earth moving project. I have earthwork running to include separate approaches and connections by using the add/subtract options within earthwork. There is a multi factor used on all earthened fill. I have the entire project balanced to zero.
When I load the log file into earthworks there is a substantial change in quantities. There appears to be rounding issues that arose from our multi factors that we used. Also, it now is including topsoil quantities (only from the add/subtract quantities) within the mass ordinate.
If I load the log file into earthworks, save it as a new log file without any changes, and reload the newly created log file back into earthworks it makes the same errors. I can continue this process indefinitely. It appears the issues is when earthworks loads and reads the log files. Any help?!
Hello thummel,
I apologize for the confusion, but what version of InRoads/GEOPAK/MX are you running? You may find it under Help > About. What specific commands are you running to produce the error?
MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 2) - Version 08.11.07.443
Bentley GEOPAK V8i (SLECTseries 2) 08.11.07.427
After creating the earthwork log file by processing cross section end areas I load the log file into earthworks to draw the mass balance. The input for running earthwork is the following:

There are tools within the earthwork dialog for you to do the multiplication factors. Have you tried adjusting those and recalculating the earthwork with the earthwork tool?

I have made efforts in modifying the multi factors. It seems to reprocess the log file, but when I Review Earthwork they original multi factor remains - even if it is deleted.
