Is it possible to calculate trench volume attached to drainage network? Or is it necessary to create a corridor with a template and parametric constraint to enter manually when pipe diameter change?
There is no functionality that will allow the automatic calculation of trench volume. So, yes, it is the proper workflow to create a corridor to model trenches.
Actually GEOPAK Drainage and water Sewer can create trench volumes.
if you look at the Drainage and Water Sewer libraries, you will see under the links the ability to assign trench details.
After laying out your networks you can look in the DTM and Site Modeler analysis menu. There you will see trench volumes.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I should have specified that this was an InRoads user. Unless I am mistaken, InRoads lacks this functionality. Is that correct?
