Hi,
I'm trying to export the linear features created by the Corridor Modeling in SS3 to a standard DTM (with feature styles), specially cut and fill grade lines. I've tried creating alternate surfaces, and importing features into a standard DTM. The first option works halfway, I get most of the features (misses some benching lines), but the last cut/fill line get imported as a single element. Then I tried importing from the 3d model into the standard DTM file, even though the Cut linear feature is not continuous, It creates a single element drawing a straight line from the previous cut section to the next and so on, getting a haywire.
Any suggestions on how I can achieve this on SS3
thanks,
Juan Solorzano
Hi Juan,
In your testing did you import the mesh or import from graphics to create your DTM?
Thanks!

I imported the graphics, the purpose of my exercise was to get the features (nor really the DTM), so then I could use the Drafting/Draw Slope Direction pattern tool. The issue with importing graphics directly from the 3d model is that even though the features are not continuous the program interprets them as a single feature.
I managed to solve this by creating an alternate surface from the corridor, but before exporting the terrain to a standard DTM, I had to change all the feature types to Break Line (I think the program tries to determine which ones are boundary), and then I could get all the features I needed.
