PowerInRoads v08.11.07.615
Was preferring to continue to select multiple elements by Ctl+Data. Instead, we find we now have to Ctrl+XXXX+Data (XXXX can be any other modifier key such as Shift, Alt, etc). I can't find where to redefine the behavior, but wondered what changed and if there's a way to set it back to the way it used to operate.
Here is the image, straight default.
I did, however, think of a possible. I am running Power InRoads under a virtual PC using VM Ware's Fusion emulation system. It is most likely due to that keyboard emulation and remapping, and I will check into that as a solution and post the reply if that's what causes it. I was able to check it on a true Windows PC, and it behaves as expected there. That's what makes me think it's an emulation phenomenon.
Thanks, and I'll check things out as soon as I can tear myself away from the project work . . . (I know, good problem to have!)

Are you using custom button assignments? Would it be possible for you to attach a screenshot of your Button Assignment dialog to this post? This can be found in Workspace > Button Assignments. See example below:
Also, you might try to reload the default button assignments from this same dialog. Go to File > Open and open "default.btnmenu". I have attached the file to this post.
