Getting Elevations from Surface for Cogo Points

Hello there!

I was trying to Get some Elevations from a Surface for some Cogo Points by creating a clearance report from the specified Surface, The issue is that when i checked the Northing & Easting of the Cogo Points, they were different than the specified ones, which means the elevations are not obtained rightly, so is there any way to get this thing right.

Thanks & Regards,

  • Hi,

Would you tell me how you are verifying your Northing & Easting?  Are you comparing the data from your clearance report to a Geometry Report?  Are you selecting Geometry>Cogo Points>Edit Cogo Points and selecting your specified ones? Are you perhaps selecting the Cogo Buffer and then the Review option or the detail pane? All of which should yield the same results.  However; when snapping to geometry points, be mindful of your snap settings at Tools>Locks (No Snap, Point Snap and Element Snap).  You may also want to verify you MicroStation Locks as well.

If this doesn’t help, I’d be happy to create a short video for you!

    Thanks,

    Sanders
