I've used Geopak for the last 15 years and I've often thought that at some point the Plan View Labeler would include the functionality to label the beginning and ending stations of an element (i.e. a line, linestring, chain, or shape). There are MANY MANY instances on our plans sheets where we have to label not just a single station of an element but also the beginning AND ending station. It seems like a pretty simple calculation (and I know that D&C Manger does it when you compute quantities). Right now I use Active Chain Control and snap to the beginning of an element, copy the Station value and paste it into my label, then snap to the ending, copy the Station value and paste it into my label. Does anyone know of a solution to automatically generating the text for beginning and ending station of an element, maybe a VBA?
Thanks,
Justin
If the element is a cogo chain, D&C manager can plot the stationing along the critical points. You will get more than you need, but you could delete the ones you don't want. VBA can do it, but writing it will be another issue. Maybe someone here already has one.
