An issue came in today that I think will benefit the community
I’ve been having problems with Plan View Labeling today. When I select Plan View Labeling my drawing locks up. Then when I click on the pop up error message the drawing shuts down. I tried it on different drawings, and I get the same results. I also noticed the plan view labeling acting funny when I was creating a labeling style. There was several times when the drawing would lock up when I was creating a labeling style.
The problem could be that the labeling style file (lsf) maybe corrupt.
First , make sure that you don’t have a geopak.exe process hanging in windows task manager under the processes tab.
Then
Delete everything under the 8.11 folder
On Vista the location is
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11\
On win 7
C:\Users\ yourusername \AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11
on WinXP
C:\Documents and Settings\ yourusername \Local Settings\Application Data\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11\
Go back in the in the dgn, open the labeler, it should point o the default plan .lsf
