I am looking for assistance determining how to generate a surface from Geophysical data representing the bottom of the pavement layer. The data is in the format of Station, Offset (or Northing, Easting) and Elevation Below the Ground surface.
The Text Import Wizard provides for the ability to import the Elevation "Relative to", but it appears to be Relative to the Alignment Profile, and not the Surface. I can alternatively import the point's Northing/Easting and apply the Ground elevation, but then it would be necessary to report out the new Elevation and do a spreadsheet manipulation of the Elevation with the "Elevation below" information. I would then need to do a final import, to create the Surface.
I am in hopes that someone may have an approach that would allow the import of the data points relative to the surface elevation in one step.
I am using InRoads V8i SS2.
