Unfortunately there is not time frame on this as the tool does not exist beyond the version you are in. The workaround would be to take the files out of ProjectWise temporarily and then label the cross sections and then put them back into ProjectWise.

We are seeing this as well. Tried the creating a new GPK and still get the same error. We have build .619 of Geopak. Any work around?

I worked with FDOT CADD Support (ECSO) on this one and they found a solution (atleast for my issue). I had Rdxsrd_shg selected as the Model and I received the exact same error message "Job number cannot be found in the active directory", when attempting to launch "Cross Section Labeling" . I changed the Model to "Rdxsrd" and also confirmed that I had a "\" backslash after the path in my working project directory and in my COGO Preferences Directory Paths. These steps resolved the issue for me. I am using PowerGEOPAK SS2 08.11.07.615. I am not using ProjectWise or SS3.

With some experimenting I seem to have come up with an answer. the source of the error is if the GPK was moved or renamed. Starting with a clean GPK and importing the chains it seems to be working. If the file gets renamed or moved the error returns.

yes, project manager sets the directories for you. the pw problem has been filed as a defect

I have found that it we could get it to work only if we used the Project Manager. If we opened project manager, then cross section labeling and earthwork would work. If we tried accessing either one of those modules while in ProjectWise, neither would work.

Are those modules written to get the directory from Project Manager?

Has anyone been able to resolve this? I am seeing this issue on all ProjectWise projects, even if I remove ALL Config Blocks and the paths are correct. The GPK file is not corrupt as this is happening on everything. It does work if the GPK is moved outside of PW and change the path in the prj while actively working in a PW dgn file. This has to be a bug if it does not work out of the box with no variables. I think I can partially speak for everyone up the thread here that this workflow must stay inside of PW, not a good idea to move things outside.

From my experience, the xs labeler tool does not like it when the GPK directory is set using a variable, such as _GPK_DATA mentioned above. Set the GPK directory to an actual folder path and the labeler should work.

this issue could also be that you have a corrupted chain in the gpk. try and rebuild database.

I am experiencing the same issue. I have checked the Job Directory, and the Corridor Modeler is using that gpk for creating the model. It appears that the error checking within XS Labeler is not working correctly. Also, in the suggested answer it says that there should be not "\" at the end of the job directory, but when you select it withe spy glass, that is what you get.

make sure in your geopak preferences, cogo preferences, job directory that you set the path by selecting with the hour glass.. i have seen it where if you don't have the \ at the end of the path

According to the Greenbook the GPK Directory should be defined as _GPK_DATA.

Is this used in "GetJobNumbersWithinActiveDir"?

are you also working on PW? try and delete the rsc files and make sure you set the preferences to the job directory.

it could also be an issue with the gpk itself. you could send it to us with the dgn and we can take a look.

if you copy the gpk to a local drive, and set the preferences accordingly, do you get the same error?

That is currently how I am set up. I went back and verified that the preferences are set correctly. What confuses me is that the other tools on the dialog work just not the labeler.
