We would like to know what the differences are if any between these three products as we have a mix of InRoads and GeoPAK users throughout our firm and are getting ready to push out the new OpenRoads products for the advanced users to start testing. Should we push all 3? Please let us know the differences.
Thanks
PowerGEOPAK is all the function of MicroStation and GEOPAK Civil Engineering Suite along with the new OpenRoads technology. PowerInRoads is MicroStation and InRoads suite of products along with the new OpenRoads technology.
PowerCivil for Country is InRoads based and therefore uses that tecnology. The OpenRoads technology available to users of that product is the same as if they were in PowerInroads or PowerGEOPAK.
There are a few differences in how the OpenRoads technology is setup due to the desired native design application of GEOPAK or InRoads, but the OpenRoads tools and functions are the same for both products.
For practical purposes the difference between the three products is the same as it has been but now they come with the OpenRoads technology tools which are the same across the platforms.

Beebe,
We are long-time users of MicroStation with separate GEOPAK Suite licenses. Is there any benefit to switching to PowerGEOPAK? Is there any functionality lost by using the products separately?
There are a number of states that are looking at moving from MS and GEOPAK to PowerGEOPAK. It is less money and has the same features. If you can Portfolio Balance it might be to your advantage to pick up a few more seats with the same amount of money. Given Bentley's recent change to trust licensing and sending out invoices if you go over even one license of a product, it might be helpful in not getting surprise invoices as well. (Before anyone at Bentley jumps in an says this invoicing for trust licensing overage for one instance is not true, I can provide Bentley with a number of cases where this did occur. )
There is no functionality difference PowerGEOPAK and MicroStation and GEOPAK Civil Engineering Suite
