I'm trying to bring survey data into InRoads running in MicroStation. The data is stored in an AutoCAD file as Shared Cells with tags. All the shared cells are placed at an elevation of zero. Is there a way I can import this data to a surface with InRoads reading the tags for the elevations rather than the element elevation?
Thanks in advance, all...

Can you create a tag report end export an ASCII Text file containing this information?
You would want X and Y from the point and the elevation as the Z.

Here's a video of the workflow you are looking for - this is in InRoads SS3:

Sorry - I thought I'd mentioned we're working in XM. The new SS3 functionality looks like it might work (if it could pick up tags as well as text elements), but it doesn't quite fit with the older tools.
InRoads XM did have functionality to read tag information when importing graphics (File>Import>Surface>From Graphics - Use Tagged Graphics Information), but it was looking for the information specifically in the "inciv_ftr" tag set, and it still pulled the elevation from the element.
I think caddcops suggestion of creating a tag report in MicroStation will be the best solution in your case.
