I have installed V8i SS3 (8.11.09.494), the AU release. Under add-ins menu there is an entry for infraTools. Selecting that menu option results in a dialog instructing download and install from Select Services. See attached image.
Traditionally this means downloading MXTools. However the latest I could find is mxt081107494en. . That version of MXTools is already installed on a parallel MX V8iSS2 install and only offers to change, repair or remove.
How can I install MXTools/infraTools for SS3?
WARNING. There is a bug in the MX Tools V8i SS3 (08.11.09.493) install.
If you have MX SS2 installed as well then MX Tools will install over MXTools for SS2. (ie the files are installed into the wrondg MX installation). The result is that MX Tools no longer runs in MX SS2.
I can confirm that there is a bug. If you have installed MX Tools for SS2 and double click on SS3 setup program it will inform you that it is going to perform process of upgrading MX Tools SS2...which means that it found an old installation of MX Tools for SS2 and now it wants to upgrade it. If you want to have installed MX Tools for SS2 and SS3 on one computer you can't I tried unistalling MX Tools SS2 and then installing SS3 and then again installing SS2 but I got same information..MX Tools SS2 setup informs me that it wants to upgrade (!) a SS3 version of MX Tools which obviously is a nonsense.
I have installed MX Tools for MX SS3 (and I have only MX SS3 installed on my PC) and when I try to run it within PSPAD I`m getting this error:
running input files using MX TOOLS "batch input file runner" works OK. I also tried it at home on not yet licensed MX SS£ (installed couple days ago and running on 1 month grace period) and it works great when using with PSPAD....can you do smth with that ??
Problem solved.
I had to install MX SS2 alongside my MX SS3. After that MX Tolls started to work properly (when using PSPAD and BnlxInputRunOnce.exe).
If you don't have an install of MX v8 SS2 installed alongside MX v8i SS3 you will need to make the change in the wiki article below to get the input file runner to work correctly.
