SS3 Plan By 3D Element

Question

Hi, 
 Anyone has an experience with 3D Geometry Tool: Plan By 3 D element? 
 Help says nothing about that tool under 3D Geometry. I guess it should create a 2D element with active profile in my 2D model from a selected 3D element but I can not make this tool working. I select 3D elemnt and nothing happens. When I try to use that tool again with the same element it says that it has 2D representation.

Adam, I think you are right. The tool does not appear to be working correctly. Several weeks ago, I tested this command and was unable to get any results. Based on my tests, I logged defect, D-127225. In addition, I logged D-127226 which states that information on this command is omitted from the Help document.
