In InRoads Ss3, I have two co-workers who, after a specific sequence of actions, their Microstation crashes upon selecting a triangle edge to flip.
You make some type of edit, then save the surface. After saving, upon trying to flip an edge, Microstation freezes, and you get that little spinning blue circle. It seems to happen only after saving the surface.
I still have Ss2 on my machine, and I have no problem flipping; I don't crash. Also, this isn't using the OpenRoads tools, just regular InRoads with a DTM file. It happens pretty much 100% of the time.
Is this a known bug?
EDIT: Here's a shot of the text window message upon crashing.
EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT: Ok sorry, but it turns out she was using Ss2 all along. However, as you can see in the screenshot, IR is calling for something from version .536, whereas I have version .566 (I believe this was the Ss2 update?)
Hi Jeff,
This issue resulted in a defect being filed (D-134145).
Thanks,
Sanders

We used versions 08.11.07.494 and 08.11.09.674 and it always crashes when editting or deleting triangles.
No. In fact, I remember us being on speakerphone with a Bentley support person for over an hour, and he was also able to consistently reproduce the crash. So far, the only solution is to NOT flip triangles.
I have not been able to reproduce this behavior, could I get you to update to latest version of SELECTseries2 (08.11.07.615) and test please? If you still experience a crash post your data for me noting the specific sequence of actions that seems to trigger this crash.
