my situation is that i have a divided highway that i have developed a northbound and southbound baseline for. there is an old legacy baseline that runs +/- down the middle of the new design. is there a way to have inroads label the equality station of the legacy baseline in my cross sections?
Although there is no command to directly annotate this information, please try this workflow to accomplish what you need:
this is a good start but some people just want it all
is it possible to have the information plot in the correct location?
also can it extract an elevation of the vertical alignment on the legacy baseline at that location?
If you annotate the cross section using an SOE ASCII file as I described above, and if the Offset and Elevation are correct from the legacy alignment, it will plot in that location. In my above example, I had changed the offsets of the description to purposely place it along the bottom axis. Otherwise it would have plotted in the location of the legacy alignment.
The Annotate Cross Section command cannot extract an elevation from the vertical alignment, but you can run an XML report and obtain that information. Then include those elevations in the ASCII file.
