XSection Seed File

Hi,

Just wondering what the difference is between selecting the Cross-section seed file as opposed to using the standard 2d or 3d Inroads seed files for producing corridor cross-sections?

I'm referring to the supplied Bentley-Civil-Metric workspace for SS3 Power Inroads.

  • Hey Dan great question!  I have a simple answer on this one for a change...LOL.  The only difference I have in there is simply the active drawing scale in the XS seed file is set to 1"=10' or 1:120 ratio to match up with the preferences I setup for cutting and annotating cross sections.  The new cross section application uses the MicroStation drawing scale where all other legacy InRoads apps still use the global scale factor.  Now in the upcoming  Service Pack for SS3 this issue would go away because we added the ability to pick the drawing scale in the cross section cutting application directly.  This is a change where currently the settings are currently gathered from the default MicroStation model.
