I have 2 proposed alignments and one existing alignment along a 66 mile corridor. The existing alignment varies from left to right in its location from the proposed alignments. I have stored a VA from the existing DTM along the existing alignment and wish to project, display, and provide an elevation band for this element.
If I try to simply project this vertical onto one of the proposed alignments I recieve the "No solution found" message. This method seems to work with the 2 proposed verticals. Is this error due to the volume of PVIs that are contained in the existing VA?
Any suggestions on how to complete this?
I don't have an answer to your question but you could test your theory by shortening the range of your profile to reduce the number of PVIs and see if it makes a difference.
