I see there are elements within the corridors on levels such as Grade_Cut and Grade_Fill which represent these limits, but there are

Re: Limits of Construction in OpenRoads

You should have your Point Properties set up as shown in the image below. Use Feature Name Override should be checked on and each left cut point should have the same Feature Definition. Then you should have a similar setup for the left fill points and right cut/fill points.

When the corridor is created, a feature named LT_Construction Limit will be created.

Can you explain what you mean when you say you created a feature named RT_Construction Limit and linked it to the template? I don't understand how/why you are creating and linking a feature when that feature should be created for you.

Re: Limits of Construction in OpenRoads

Jacquelyn,

Sorry, I should have said in my original post that I'm new to corridor modelling. I read the help but it didn't explain what the Feature Name Override does.

The right side of the delivered template (2 Lane Rural) has a Feature of "Grade_FillLine" and a Feature Name Override of "RT_Construction Limit" and similar settings for the left side. Can you explain how I use that do develop the construction limits? I created a feature called "RT_Construction Limit" and linked it to one of our templates, but the corridor still seems to use the "Grade_FillLine" feature to draw the corridor elements.

Thanks.

Re: Limits of Construction in OpenRoads

This workflow is basically the same as in SS2. Simply assign a common Feature Name Override to both the cut and fill end condition points.
