Hi,
I was wondering if it possible to import horizontal geometry (complex chain) from drawing in Openroads, as it was possible in Inroads.
It can be quite useful for point control, etc., and I wasn’t able to find such tool.
Under Horizontal Geometry, use 'Complex by Elements' (A -1) and select the start element. This will create the geometry for you.
Hi Mark,
But 'Complex by Elements' only works with lines and curves that have been previously created in Openroads. I was wondering if there is a way to import complex chain (e.g. road edge) directly from drawing, without having to define all of it's elements separately in Openroads, and then connecting them using 'Complex by Elements'.
To get the graphic into InRoads, just run the "Set Feature Definition" command and assign a Feature Definition that has "Auto Export" = True.
I haven a complex chain and problems with getting this in as a centerline - my properties on the complex chain is a GeomBL and there is no option to view if there is a Auto Export option? As far I can see there is a Feature on the complex line, but no geometry options....
