When creating TIW files, InRoads used to place them in the product folder. This does not work well when the XIN is a shared networked XIN since the TIW would be on one user's PC. It also used to put a full path in the file. I would like to place the TIW files in a network location and have the XIN find it. but today, my TIW and XIN are in the same folder, but the import failed with a Bad TIW error which suggested it could not locate the TIW.
Can I use variables in the XIN to point to a folder, or should the product find a TIW file if it is in the same location as the XIN?
A variable cannot be used in the XIN to point to TIW files; however, I have filed a change request (S-101445) for this functionality.

Hey Chuck,
We hard code the network location in the XIN file, which may work in your situation, see attachment.
Hey Jeff,
Long time no see. Just wanted to see if there was a better way. Guess not. I guess I'll start doing the same.
Actually, when we started using XM, I believe I did the same thing. But when SHA released a couple of new sets of standards, I may have not kept those modifications in my newer XIN files.
It's hard to keep up with all the changes with all the clients!
