Assuming you created the point elements with the Linestyle and Class that was specified in the help then you updated the nodes in the project so that you could see the new point elements in the cell, then you would have edited the pipes and had them connect to the new pipe location points or point elements you created. Once you did all that you would then need to recompute the profile. To be safe you may also want to designate a hydraulic center point in your cells.

After playing around with this issue again this morning I found that one must use the From Node ID and To Node ID buttons to select the side of the rectangular structure which to connect the link to. I was only selecting the node from the pull down menu. I will have another post this morning regarding another issue I'm running into when trying to use a site model to set the node elevations.
