Inroads v8i SS2:
I have a profile of a roadway which must follow the existing ground profile in some areas, and a designed vertical alignment in others. I would like to merge this information into one Vertical alignment for use in Roadway Modeler.
Any suggestions would be helpful,

This process cannot be entirely automated, but I think you will be able to use the Vertical Element commands to accomplish what you need.
Where are the Horizontal and Vertical Element Tools?
In particular, you might find the Copy Elements tool useful since it copies part of an existing alignment into the active alignment. You can use this tool to add individual elements into one active alignment.
