Good morning all,
I am having an issue with GPK drawing my surfaces that I produced from Roadway Designer. When I am in RD, I can flip through the stations and the existing surface and proposed surfaces and information look good. I will then use the Create Surface tool within Roadway Designer and create the proposed DTM file while also displaying the features and components. When I look at the 3D features and components that are created, everything looks good and it covers the full limits of my project. When I go to the Draw Cross Sections from Surfaces tool within Corridor Modeler, I setup both my existing DTM and my new proposed DTM to be drawn. Once it draws these two surfaces, the existing surface is drawn through the end of the project, but the proposed doesn't show up on the last 4 or 5 sections. Any idea why this would be happening?
Thanks,Ken
Take a look at this WIKI in which we try to list the most common reasons for components not displaying.
communities.bentley.com/.../components-do-not-display-when-running-draw-cross-sections-from-surface-command.aspx
Looked through the Wiki and none of those scenarios applies to what current data. Any other thoughts? Is any other information needed?
If none of those are the reason, we will need to troubleshoot with your data. Can you post your files to our Secure File Upload site? Here is a link to the instructions: communities.bentley.com/.../7079.be-communities-secure-file-upload.aspx
These are the files we will need: cross section DGN,existing ground TIN, RDP, GPK, IRD, files in the rddbs folder. Also include details about what corridor/stations/components are not displaying correctly.
Kevin,
I have posted the files to the Secure File Upload site (in two separate submissions). The project runs from 86+20 to 96+50, so I should have sections throughout that full range. I am not getting proposed sections from 94+00 through 96+50 when using the Draw Cross Sections from Surfaces tool.
If you need any other information, please let me know.
Thanks for your help,
Ken
Thanks for sending you data. With it I was able to test and verify that the problem you are seeing is most likely caused by a defect in the V08.11.07.615 release in which components are not drawn correctly when the chain has a station equation.
This defect was fixed in a Priority Build of GEOPAK, and I have sent you an e-mail directly with a link to download it. Let us know if you still see the problem after installing the PB.
