Using V8i SS2
I need to trim a side road geometry, horizontal and vertical, at an Edge of Pavement geometry of mainline. It seems only the horizontal is getting trimmed while it's vertical stationing moves to the new horizontal 0+00 at the trimming point while retaining the older elevations.
Hi,
Could you tell me which product you are using and which command you are using to trim your alignment? This will help in assisting you.
Thanks!

Thank you for responding:
I am using Microstation v8i SS2 and Inroads v8i SS1
I have tried Geometry\Utilities\trim alignment
and also Geometry\Vertical Element\Cut Element followed by Geometry\Vertical Element\Delete Element
Thank you for providing those details, they helped in troubleshooting.
In following your procedures I review my vertical alignment report and I also annotate my edited vertical alignment (after I create a profile). Both my vertical alignment report and my vertical annotation reflect a change in my vertical stationing as well as a change in the elevation of my new start station.
Please view your vertical annotation; there should be a difference in your initial Station and Elevation versus the edited Station and Elevation.
Thank you Sanders, I will get a closer look at this and let you know how it works out.
Sanders, I am finally back to this quandary and sorry for leaving it off for so long. Today I tried to trim an Hz and V alignment (parent/child) using the Geometry/Utilities/Trim alignment tool. This only trimmed the Horizontal aspect but left the vertical unmodified. I then thought to use the delete Vertical Element tool in order to modify the Vertical to match the newly modified Hz. That only trimmed the Vertical at the correct location, the vertical stationing was unchanged. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.
