Good Day Geopak World,
Last week, my GEOPAK Project Manager box all of a sudden disappeared. It is not hidden in the Windows Task Bar, and i have tried to go to Applications - Geopak - Road - Project Manager as an attempt to "backdoor" into it. Nothing has worked. I have tried to reboot, etc.
I can still use all other GEOPAK elements - D&C Manager, COGO, XSN Navigator, DTM visualization tools, etc - but i cannot get the project manager box up. Therefore, i am stuck in the current project and working alignment.
I have been working with GEOPAK for 7 years so i am quite familiar with its quirkiness. Has anybody else encountered anything like this?
ok. don't panic... try this
Delete everything under the 8.11 folder
On Vista the location is
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11\
On win 7
C:\Users\ yourusername \AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11
on WinXP
C:\Documents and Settings\ yourusername \Local Settings\Application Data\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11\

I've found the folder, but i am hesitant to delete anything. Is there something I should replace it with?
no, those files will be recreated. you probably have a bad upf file. if you like, just move the cryptic folder out of there and you will see everything will be recreated.
Unfortunately, that did not take care of it. The folder repopulated itself properly, but the Project Manager still will not show up. Any other suggestions?
I am afraid you may need to uninstall geopak and reinstall
I uninstalled and reinstalled...still no luck. In the "Message Center" on the bottom of the screen it gives the Message "GEOPAK IS NOT LOADED" whenever i try to open the proejct manager. I can still use COGO, etc.
Any advice?
I suspect that you are running Geopak Site and not Geopak Suite. can you copy and paste the name of the install file you ran?
gkste081107536en.exe
then
gkste081107566en_updt1.exe
ok that is the correct one. not the latest but correct. if you can send me your email address and your phone number, we could do a teamviewer and I can look at your machine and see what is going on
