Multiple users can have the same alignment as read/write in our alg file - is that correct? it appears that we may have lost some work recently as a result but because the timing of the edits was not definitively documented we are not positive but one thing is for sure - more than one person can have the same alignment checked as read/write at the same time in the same alg file
There was a defect in a prior version with read/write access to ALG files, but this was resolved in 08.11.07.615. We have gotten no further reports of problems with read/write access. To answer your question, more than one person should not be able to check out the same alignment at the same time. If this has occurred, we will need to test this issue in your version. Was this 625 version a priority build that you received?
Don't know if it is "priority build" - what version should i be running
625 was a priority build. The latest released version was 615. Nevertheless, the problem has not been reported in either version. Can you reproduce the problem?
Yes, I can but that being said I decided to have the other user check their version of InRoads and sure enough she is running an earlier version V08.11.07.428 - could that be the problem?
Yes, there was a defect. I recommend that you have all users upgrade to the latest version of InRoads SS2 - 08.11.07.615 or later.
you referred to 625 as a "priority build" what does that mean and does it make sense for us to install that version rather than the 615 version? or should the users that are running 625 have 615 installed instead? with the thought that it may be best to have everyone in the office using the same version?

A priority build is a build that has a specific fix or enhancement for a user. It's usually something the user has specifically requested. If you all have been provided a priority build, and you have it available, I would install that.
