Corridor Modeler - PowerGeopak SS2. (yep. we have SS3 but I still need to set up some standards for SS2 as well)
How does an administrator begin to revise(or better yet create a new) corridor modeler ddb file. I located the original Bentley ddb and noticed there was a corresponding dgnlib (default_styles.ddb and default_styles.dgnlib). The dates, however are not the same as I would expect if you could update the dgnlib then the ddb automatically updates. I have also read a number of threads talking about the xin to ddb conversions.
How do you start with a blank ddb or better yet start with some other nice clean empty file, and then convert to a new ddb. Perhaps the preferred method is to copy the ddb and dgnlib to your config path location(or keep in the original install location) and revise the ddb. How do you revise the ddb?
Appreciative of any suggestions.
Thanks all.
I am not sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish. You can create/edit a ddb file, you will then import it into corridor modeler or openroads. Any changes you make outside D&C manager, do not get updated back to the ddb.
Once you bring the ddb into a dgn in openroads, you cannot get the updates done in the dgnlib back to the ddb.
Setting up a ddb file is a time consuming task. You may want to find out if the state you are in, already has one set up.
If you do set one up, you should definitely save it somewhere other than the default location and you can point to it via a configuration variable.

I feel so absolutely ignorant right now.
Until you mentioned the D&C, it never occurred to me to use that to edit the ddb(which should have been obvious) as I spent most af last week finalizing our current ddb. Was not making the obvious connection.
Thank you for your answer.
