Hello all.
Every time I open a file (existing or new) I have to move and resize the "Tasks" and "PowerCivil" menus and reopen the "Element Information" menu.
Is there a way to fix these windows for every file opened? I have tried "Save Settings" but that has not changed anything.
Regards
Dario
are you always using the same user and project in the microstation file manager?

Yes, it's the same user, but different projects and different files. Not sure exactly what the file manager is though, just the interface within Microstation?
Yes the interface. If you are allowed, you can create a user to keep your settings.
Thanks I will try that. Although that poses the next question, how does one create a user?
I have asked around the office and it is not clear what is required.
under the pulldown, you select new
When you first open MicroStation, the first dialog box is called the MicroStation Manager. In the bottom of it are three option menus - Interface, Project and User. Ideally, you should create an Interface and a User. We use the same name for each. It created files and folders using these names and stores user preference things and other items within the files and folders it creates,
You might find a number of User Preference settings needing to be reset once you do this - although you might have to relaunch MicroStation to see all of this behavior.
Once initially setup and restarted, it will save all of the settings. However, some user preferences require a restart to see them in operation.

Thanks caddcop.
I'm still not 100% convinced that what I've done is working like it should, but it is definitely a step in the right direction.
