i am having mesh data generated from lidar (TLS) i have to use it for creating alignment and volume calculation of earth work. MX Road can import lidar data but i am stuck at a point after importing TIN it wont allow me to place a point on tin so how to create alignment on this lidar tin & how to calculate volume of cut and fill. pls help
It sounds as if you are looking to have the lidar data imported as an MX triangulation model in MXRoad. MX can directly import Lidar data however it can often be too large so importing it as a Point Cloud is often a preferable import method. The wiki articles below detail the process. How to Import Point Cloud data in MX v8i SS2
How to Import Point Cloud Data into MX v8i SS3

Dear jason thnks fr reply it will be really help full if you give similar procedure for creating alignment on these point cloud data using it as aground surface. and also for volume calculation using mx road
thnks a lot
The tutorials in MX will help you with alignment design and volume calculation. You can find them in the helpful as shown below.
from last two days i am trying from tutorial only as i am new to mx road and i mainly work with lidar, it uses some already crated drawings so how to create such drawings tht the first thing and is it required for lidar data also ? or can i directly draw quick alignment on lidar data ?
