We are trying to use survey data that was originally setup with InRoads and bring it into Geopak. We were given an FWD file of the topo, and when I "Load Data" within Geopak SS3, and select the FWD file, it looks like everything work well. Aside from the notes (InRoads) or comments (Geopak). I can see all the points with the "Show Details" tool in Geopak, but none of the points have anything in the description field. But I double-checked the FWD by opening it in a text editor, and several points have the additional notes field with the comment. An example is below with point 1663 not having the note and point 1664 having the note.

How can I get the notes or decriptions to be imported along with all the other data?
An additional tidbit... we will need to bring the survey points (with point codes and notes) into Geopak COGO so we can then export out a CSV file with Point #, Station, Offset, Point Code, Note. Since Geopak wasn't importing the notes, we asked our client if they could provide an XML or CSV with all that data and they said it would take a whole day to accomplish. Does this sound way off, or is it just me? We are only talking about 2000 points, if that.
You should be able to export a CSV file from InRoads

Beebe,
Will that export bring the notes along with it? I was thinking that it shouldn't be that difficult to export to something we can use, so I am not sure why the client is saying it will take them a day to do.
Check your Survey Project Settings and see if you have Append Note to Point Description set to True. If not set it to True and bring your data back in to the file
