I have two roadway alignment that crosses each other, example Alignment A and B . If I create a profile for Alignment B, is there a way I can display the the horizontal crossing of Alignment A on to the Profile of Alignment B without measuring it out manually (I have quite of few alignments crossing each other and having a way to display them automatically on a given profile would be a awesome and great time saver) ?
Which product you are working with, also what is the version number?
I have InRoads SS2 (V08.11.07.615), and I also have Power InRoadsSS3 (V08.11.09.674)
In InRoads SS2 I think you are looking for the 'Alignments to Profile' command. Evaluation>Profile>Alignments to Profile. Click the Help button for an explanation.
In SS3 I think you are looking for the "Profile Intersection Point' command. Vertical Geometry, Row Q, 8th icon. This command is covered in a couple of tutorials on Bentley's LEARN server. The latest one is OpenRoads:Creating Centerline Geometry.
I think what you want to do is to display the crossing alignments as 3D alignments and import these alignments as features. Then you can display those imported features as "Crossing Features" using the Update Profile command.
