Hi,
I'm trying out the Bentley MX v8i Silent Install from the "Create deployment", however, when i select the "Setup.exe" on my Network Share, everything seems to work perfectly but i then get a "Shortcut Generator" Pop up during the install of MX thus making it no longer silent. Is there a way to disable this dialog in the "Silent Install"?
Also, i cannot see where i can input my license server details or activation code, how does it know what license server i'm using?

1. For Hosted : The Fulfillment document will contain the Server Name as : selectserver.bentley.com (which you cannot edit) & site activation key, while Activating the license. Please refer the attached snapshot below. Please use the below link if you want to activate the hosted license.

2. For Deployed : The Fulfillment Document will contain the Site Activation Key, Server Activaiton Key, Server Serial Number, server name will be blank ( You can edit the server name given by your admin) while activating the license. Please refer the attached snapshot below.
Whats the fufillment document and where is it, when you do a silent install, there is no option to insert that information. Is this a process after the silent install or during?
Also, how do you make the silent deployment truly silent, the Dialog box (Generate Shortcut) pops up mid way through the install so would halt the whole thing if it was deployed via SMS/SCCM.
My aim is to install MX with very limited manual input everytime we need to install so how can i capture all this in the Silent Deployment Image.

The following should run the nmsi install in silent mode :
msiexec /i C:\BentleyDownloads\MX_08.11.09.494\MX.msi /qn

Thanks for this but i'm not actually running the *.msi, i'm using the "Setup.exe" that is created as part of the Deployment Image which installs all prerequisites as well as MX.
Would it just be easier to just create my own EXE based on all the MSI's? Bit of a pain if i had to do this, would much prefer to just create the Deployment Image and then use that.

I'm not sure there is another way of doing a silent install. I will see what I can find out further.
