I have designed a vertical profile in MXRoad SS3. There are 3 strings profile in display.....1. design string profile 2. existing ground profile 3. existing carriageway center line profile. Now i want to give 100 mm offset to existing carriageway profile string for overlay in display.
One method is to give vertical offset to existing carriageway string and display it in profile..... is there any other method by which we can directly offset as we do in autocad.
Thanks in advance
Hi
I'm not sure what you mean by 'directly offset'. Can you explain a bit further. You can off course use design options to design a string with zero horizontal offset and a 100mm vertical offset from a string, which I think you have already said you have done.
If you could explain a bit further, I'll see what else I can suggest.

"Directly offset" means...... when quick vertical profile is on and I am designing profile by quick vertical profile with IP method and I have displayed existing center line string in profile....now I want to offset it while doing vertical profile itself. Say 100 mm offset upward of existing center line profile...to design an overlay.
you may try it by this go to mx data and see vertical alignment data. there you can edit vip level what ever you want and run it vertical design with vip data.
