The issue is taking a ditch a specific depth below existing ground line. What is the process to get a ditch a specific depth below existing ground line?

RE: Inroads templates - Ditches

Hi Jacquelyn,

communities.bentley.com/.../16142.video-fixed-ditch-component.aspx

The final step in the process, which I did not demonstrate in the video, is to create a second priority test end condition that will solve if the existing ground is below the fixed ditch. I attached the template library to the wiki, and I completed this final step in that template.

Hope this helps!

RE: Inroads templates - Ditches

Yes, I'd like to have full control over the width and slope of the bottom, backslope and lower part of the foreslope,. The varying element in this template would be the initial part of the foreslope.

Here's a graphical representation of the end condition I want to recreate. Parameters beginning with I... define the slope while B... define the width. So it's the element between E__K and D__1 that should vary.

I'm an MX user moving to SS3 and I have the same issue. I'm trying to make a fixed ditch structure where only the last point intersects with the terrain while the ditch follows a specific slope. I already used the method described by Marc B and it works fine as long as the terrain is flat... When the terrain is tilted both last points of these two end conditions are placed at the interception and the ditch structure in not fixed anymore. (the last point in the inner end condition checks for interception and is set to infinite) Is there a way around this?

Regards
