Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else is experience a similar problem. The issue relates to the screen display detail disappearing when the cursor runs over the fly out tool bar. ( Ive attached a screen shot.
Below are the specs for my PC
Software: Inroads (latest version)
Machine spec.
i7 quad core 3.4GHz
8GB ram
Nvidia k4000 graphics card
64 bit operating system
Any help with a fix would be great!!
NVidia by default installs a program relating to 3D acceleration (or something like that). Try doing a clean install of the video drivers but do a custom and only install the video drivers and nothing else it offers relating to video graphics. Does this help?
Any solutions to this post yet? Having same issues with the display in OpenRoads as mentioned above (OpenRoads connect edition version 10.03.00.43 and the upgraded version 2018 Release 2 – 10.04.00.48). When I move the cursor over the icon ribbon some tend to disappear. If I scroll back over the icons they reappear individually when the cursor goes over them making drawing/design very frustrating.
I’ve tried disabling D3D11 as per this post https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/19087/3d-graphics-display-issues
Changing the PhysX configuration for graphics processor between CPU and graphics card has no effect.
My laptop has the following specs:
Intel® Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.8GHz
16Gb RAM
64-bit operating system, Windows 10 Pro.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
Please help! Many thanks.
Hi Allen,
none of the little tweaks across the Bentley forum seemed to do anything for the display issue when I was experiencing it at its worse.
A few things that I noticed that would change how often the error would occur:
The problem for me still exists but to a far lesser extent, I would still like to know the cause. As I have spent so many hours trying to fix the issue myself just so I can do my job.(extremely frustrating!!!) I've lodge support request in the past but Bentley either just don't know or wont call out hardware (nvidia GPU) that is the cause.
As I still have a support request open and no fix, I guess they (Bentley) hope it just goes away.
But if you manage to work it out, please share the cause.
Cheers
Thanks for the response Cain. Will keep you updated if I come across any fixes on this issue.
Regards, Allan
I experienced the same issue on my laptop (MSI GS63 stealth 8RE: i7, 16GB ram, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, Win10, ORD 10.07.03.18). By disabling the service "Nahimic service" the problem is solved.
In the proces to solve this problem i noticed that this thing is not an issue in standard Microstation, it only appears in OpenRoads Designer...
