I have recently upgraded to MxRoad V8i SS3 from SS2 and have found that when trying to select a point that, nine times out of ten, that point will not select and I receive a warning box "The parameter is incorrect." this happens in all instances whether I am creating an alignment, editing points, checking distance/gradient between points etc.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem and found a suitable solution?
Thanks.
Hi,
I've had one report of this before from someone using Status Distance and Gradient between points, when using PSM Normal, but I've not been able to recreate it despite having step by step instructions on what the user is doing.
Can you confirm which PSM you are using ? I guess you're just trying exactly the same thing when it does work ? Are they specific types of strings you are trying to pick points from M, G, I etc or does it seem random.
Can you confirm which build number of SS3 you are using Under Help>About MX ?

Hi Simon,
A colleague is experiencing the same problem whereas others arent.
The issue occurs when using PSM Point, Normal, Chainage and Intersection and when picking points from any string type. No, I dont do anything different on the odd occasion when it does work.
Build Number = 08.11.09.493
Thanks...
Hi
I have done a bit of digging here and it looks like this was an issue which was in that first build of MX V8i SS3. It was subsequently fixed in the SS3 Maintenance Release Build .674. We had a defect logged for this issue D-124852 which has been signed off, and is included as a resolved issue in the Build 674 Release Notes.
So the resolution to this issue is to update to the latest MX V8i SS3 Build 08.11.09.674.
Hope this is OK.

Hi Simon. Thanks for checking this out. I will see if we can update to the latest build.
As a work around, we have discovered that the issue only occurs when working in Multi Pick mode and we are able to select points when working in Single Pick mode.
Thanks again...
Hi, I'm getting this error using MX V8i SS4 build 08.11.09.879. Can anyone provide any input as to why this is happening?
