Having annotation that can have the style changed without being tied to the feature of the alignment itself. This is a very powerful feature used by other software (the one that shall not be named) that allows you this ability and isn't tied to the alignment feature itself. This would allow for changes to the stationing on the fly, such as minor tick marks every 20' for example, as opposed to 50'. They would be styles, that would update automatically when the alignment changes. Having to blow away annotation and put it back in is reminiscent of my InRoads days. Not bad, but with dynamic geometry, why not dynamic labelling?
