    How to use MX Script Manager to manage References

    Background

    In MX v8i version 08.11.07.227 the ability to use the Script Manager to manage References was added. This wiki article details that functionality. Attached the required references to your drawing prior to setting up the script.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Open the Script Manager (MX>File>Script)



    2. Select New to load the panel below.



      Un-tick all boxes except the MX Reference file type. 

    3.  Select the Save MX Reference button and give the file a unique name, this file stores the reference details attached to the drawing.



      The file will show in the Available Settings Files list, send the file across to Files Selected for this Script List using the arrow.

    4.  Select Save As to save the script file.



      The script file will be available in the list in the Script Manager.

    5. You can run the script file direct from the Script Manager and also within an input file using the linemode code below.
