Linking Survey Feature Definitions

Question:

I have previously linked my survey feature definitions to my design, however, when I reopen the DGN, I still have the yellow message icons displayed:

How do I permanently link my survey feature definitions?

Answer:

Follow the steps below to link your survey feature definitions permanently:

In MicroStation, go to Workspace > Configuration. Select the category "Extensions" and locate the configuration variable "CIVIL_SURVEY_STYLEFILE":
Select Edit to bring up the Edit Configuration Variable dialog box. Set the Edit Mode to "Overwrite". Key in the path to the XIN file you wish to link to in the New Value field.
Click OK and the path to your survey feature definition file will be saved to your user preference file.
