    Problem Description

When opening an MX Project stored on a network MX shows Error Creating New .dgn File message.

    Reason

The reason is that the server has been added as a Network Location instead of mapped as a Network Drive which assigns a Drive letter. The image below shows the same server location added as both a Network Location and a Network Drive.

MXRoad is not currently compatible with accessing projects directly via the Network Location.

    Steps to Resolve

Set up server locations as Network Drives with assigned Driver letters on the machine, if different users are working on the same MX projects they will need to use common Network Driver letters for the server locations.
