    Error Message

    E0094 Incompatible Sub-Reference

    Explanation

For some types of string, a sub-reference is allocated in order to give some information about how the string was generated. For example, a geometry string has a sub-reference which indicates the associated master string.

An E0094 error message can show when displaying a model using a style set when there are sub-reference issues with strings.

    How to Avoid

    Option 1

There may be a string in the model with a sub-reference that does not match the reference string name. Check the string using the Change String Sub-Reference tool (MX>Modify>Edit Strings>Change String Sub-Reference) and change the sub-reference to the correct reference string name.

    Option 2

There may be a string that has been given a name that matches a feature in the style set which requires the string to have specific details for annotation ,i.e. geometry string details, which are not available in that string. Renaming the string so it is drawn as another feature in the style set will resolve the error.
