How to disable ProjectWise Log-in Panel in MXRoad

Background

When ProjectWise explorer is installed on the same machine as MXRoad the ProjectWise Log-in Panel appears when opening MXRoad projects.

This can be a hindrance for users that do no use ProjectWise for MXRoad project file management as the panel has to be cancelled each time a project is opened. This Wiki article details how to disable this panel.

Steps to Accomplish

Browse to the MXRoad install folder. (Windows 7 64bit path shown below)

C:\Program Files (x86)Bentley\MX V8i (SELECTSeries 3)\MX\config\appl
or for MX SS4
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MX V8i (SELECTSeries 4)\MX\config\appl
In this folder there should be a file called PW.cfg, copy this file out of this folder to a backup location rather then delete the file in case ProjectWise is being used down the line for MXRoad project file management as the file will have to be re-instated to it's original location.
