    Background

For consistency in drawing creation drafting departments may require Microstation Cells and Microstation Line styles that match the MX Macro Symbols and MX Lines styles used in the style set by the designer.

    Steps to Accomplish

The MX Macro Symbols and MX Lines styles are converted on the fly in MX when they are displayed and saved to the two files as below.

    MX Linestyles - 'mxwrklsf.rsc'

    MX Macro Symbols - 'mx_common.cel'

These files are generally located in the folder below but the location can differ depending on the operating style or install setup.

    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MX V8i (SELECTseries 3)\mfm\data

Provide these two files to the drafting department to incorporate into their installs of Microstation.
