Question:
How can I display the elevations of the surface (Z coordinates)?
Answer:
Two commands will display surface elevations: Surface > View Surface > Surface Elevations and Surface > View Surface > Single Point > Surface Elevation.
These commands find the elevation (z coordinate) of any point in the surface. These commands automatically annotates an area of the surface, or you can manually identify individual locations on the surface at which to display elevations.
Since the surface you select must already be triangulated, the software uses the triangles to calculate exact elevations. If the point is outside of the model or inside of a deleted triangle, no elevation is displayed.
