Question:
I have InRoads/MX/GEOPAK installed, when I attempt to use the Subsurface Utility Engineering commands, I receive the following message:
Do I need a separate license for Subsurface Utility Engineering?
Answer:
Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) requires a separate license from InRoads/GEOPAK/MX, therefore it will need to be activated before use. To activate SUE, on the MicroStation menu go to Tools > Product Add-Ins > Activate Subsurface Utility Engineering.
Subsurface Utility Engineering (as well as Descartes) is delivered and installed with the SS3 civil product (InRoads, GEOPAK, MX). If you do not wish to install either of these products, you will need to change the settings during install. To do this, on the Custom Setup dialog during installation, click the down arrow next to the product name and select "This feature will not be available."
